Controller Licences
VOLO Controller Licences are required for each master controller you have deployed in your estate.
What is the licence for?
The licence and associated fee entitles the product owner to connect the device to the VOLO cloud and use the system to configure and manage it (and any connected Expansion devices).
You must have an available licence to make use of a VOLO master controller.
What happens if my licence expires?
When a VOLO controller licence expires any configuration data saved on the controller will remain intact, and you will retain access to the VOLO cloud.
However, you will not be able to change any configuration settings or interact with your controller in any way.
- No commands can be sent to the Master controller OR any attached Expansion controllers, for example:
- Unlock door cannot be used
- Changes to schedules
- Granting or revoking access to users
- Clearing an active fire alarm
- Any other commands
- Any events generated after the licence has expired will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered
